Dear Southwest Airline,
I need to apologize to you. Like most travelers, I was attempting to save money when I planned a trip for my domino tournament in Domino, Texas recently by flyng into Dallas out of Chicago. I did a lot of research and discovered what I thought was a good fare via Priceline and made the purchase. Afterwards, I discovered I had to pay a separate charge for my luggage, up to $50.00 each way. I asked if I could cancel the flight and get my money returned but learned more than 75% of the amount I paid would be forfeited. I was not a happy domino player.
Your airline flies to most of the destinations I’ve had to travel over the past 20 years and I have always found your fares extremely competitive and when it was necessary to make a change, it was easy and did not cost. I have never paid a luggage fee on Southwest Airline either.
I would like to apologize for not booking my upcoming ticket on Southwest. During this lifetime, I will never consider booking on another a la carte airline.
Again, let me apologize. I am sorry. Now, I do have favor I would like to ask. Although my flight next month will not be on Southwest Airline, would you consider flying my bags to Dallas for me? I will be happy to drop my one bag off at Midway and pick it up at Dallas Love field.
If you are able to honor this request, please contact me for all the details you need.
Thank you in advance for your consideration. I look forward to my next flight with you which incidentally is also next month to Austin, Texas.
