THE INTERNET DOMINO ASSOCIATION, LLC

The INTERNET DOMINO ASSOCIATION, LLC (IDA) is a part of The National Professional Domino Players Association, LLC (NPRODPA) and shares in its vision and dedication to the standardization, recognition, promotion and growth of DOMINO competition worldwide mainly through internet play but also through land based tournaments.
Membership is free and open to all interested domino players. Professional domino consultant Travis Newsome, www.TRAVISNEWSOME.com has been a key figure in the development of the association.

BOWLERS

TNBA has joined forces with IDA to provide a benefit to its members with the idea of developing domino tournaments at TNBA regional and national events that will award cash prizes. Because of the large membership of TNBA, an internet based competition is the best and most efficient method to assist in developing live land based tournaments at TNBA regional and national events.

HOW WILL IT WORK?
1. TNBA members will be required to take out a free membership in IDA. This membership comes with a free ida-1.com e-mail address and a domino username of choice to play dominoes online.

2. Members will play dominoes online at an IDA designated site. Competition will be available in the general lobby and open tournaments consisting of real money and play money tournaments.

3. The monthly record of each member will be provided to IDA by the domino website.

4. IDA will rank players based upon records to include but not limited to winning percentages, games played, real money won, and play money won.

5. There will be a domino tournament at each Regional TNBA tournament consisting of the top 32 ranked players from the internet from that Region and players ranked 33-36 as alternates.

6. In the absence of some of the top 32 players and or alternates, other players will be allowed to sign up on a first come first serve basis to complete the field of 32 for the Regional domino tournament.

7. The cutoff date for qualifying to play in the Regional tournament will be September 15th each year (assuming the Regional tournament will take place in November). Players will be notified by e-mail by September 30th if they have qualified to participate in the Regional domino tournament.

8. The entry fee to participate in the Regional tournament will be $50.00 for each player.

9. The tournament winner will receive $1,000.00, TNBA and the Regional tournament will each receive $160.00 and the local Senate of the each participating player will receive $5.00.

10. The Regional domino tournament will consist of 5 rounds including the finals. Participants will be required to win two out of three games to advance to the next bracket and the best of 5 in the finals.

11. If you have qualified on the internet to play in the Regional domino tournament, you will need to abide by the proposed live land based tournament schedule below.
a. Round one- you must complete your match between 7:00 AM and Noon on Friday
b. Round two-you must complete your match between 12:00 noon and 5:00 PM Friday.

IDA TOURNAMENT RULES

1. HOW MANY DOMINOES - Each player will draw 7 dominoes to begin the game.

2. WHO STARTS THE GAME - The game will start by the player drawing the double 6 or highest double.

3. NEW HAND- Once a game has started, the player that played the last domino from the previous hand gets to start the new hand with the domino of his choice. If you have the down, you get to keep it. The down does not rotate. This process continues until a game the game is completed.

4. POINTS TO WIN - It will take 150 points to win a game. The board count has to be a multiple of
5 to earn a score. At the end of a hand, the points total is rounded to the nearest 5 to determine what score is earned (7 points = a score of 5 or 8 points = a score of 10).

5. HOW DO YOU ADVANCE – You must win your match, the best of 3 games.

6. BLOCKED OR LOCKED HAND- Double 6 or the highest double starts the next hand.

7. BLOCKED HAND POINTS – The player with the lowest points receive his opponents points rounded to the nearest 5. If the points total is equal, no points are awarded to either player.

8. BOGUS PLAY – If a player draws a domino from the boneyard with a playable domino already in his hand, when discovered and proven, that player will lose the game.

9. BOGUS PLAY 2 – If a player plays for example a 5 on a 4, the opponent has the option BEFORE PLAYING to let the play remain or request the domino to be removed. This is also the case when playing on the wrong spinner. If you play behind a bogus play, the play stands. The player also has the option to place the correct domino before his opponent exposes a domino. There is no penalty for this play.

10. DRAWING FROM BONEYARD- When drawing from the boneyard, if more than one domino is drawn, when a domino is drawn that will play, it must be turned face up on the table while contemplating which end to place the domino. The domino MUST NOT be placed in your hand with the non-playable dominoes. OVERDRAW YOUR HAND- YOU LOSE THE GAME.

11. DRAWING WINNING DOMINO FROM BONEYARD-You must show the remaining unplayable dominoes in your hand. Always turn up your remaining dominoes after playing the winning domino that is drawn from the boneyard. Failure to do so will result in a 100 point penalty.

12. PENALTY POINTS- the offended player has the option to accept the points or have the points subtracted from his opponent.

13. All decisions of the tournament director are final and are not subject to appeal.

14. You must be a member in good standings of TNBA.
